Origins of Padel and Travel

I’m Tricia. I’m a former county level squash player from my teens and 20s and now a self confessed padel addict. I started playing on outdoor temporary courts with plastic surfaces that are slippery as an ice rink when wet or dewy.

I’d only had a couple of months of lessons when the wet UK weather set in. But I had the bug, I didn’t want to miss lessons or games due to the weather or injure myself on the courts. While it was coming up to a traditionally quiet period in my photography business, I thought hey, why not go play padel somewhere in the sun. 

Padel and Travel is now working in association with several coaches and clubs to deliver curated padel camps around Europe and North Africa. Check out our destinations page to learn more.
